I'm so glad to hear that Kittie Frantz will be coming to the South Bay for "The Baby's Perspective!" I want to share what I got from the class that really added to my work.  When I did the class in November, I had eight years of a buzy doula practice & 4 years of lactation work under my belt.  The information she shares comes from her YEARS of not only practice, but all the research that's out there!  We all know how this field is loaded with bad information that's based in anything but research.  Kittie comes to it with lots of heart, but her major contribution, from my perspective, is all the research she shares.  She loads you up with biblios, so if you want to read more, you  can find the source.

Having said that, the biggest thing I got from attending the course was a greater inner awareness of what I do, why I do it, and where I want to go from here.  Many of us grapple with "what the mom wants" vs.  what we know/think/intuit is right for the baby.  Kittie's course helped me to really acknowledge this dilemma inside myself.  "The Baby's Perspective" brought up a lot for me, and after a few months,  I gained more clarity about myself in this work, have clearer intentions and goals, not to mention, greater peace.
