Geddes Productions presents……
THE BABY'S PERSPECTIVE
"A course for experienced doulas, RN's,
LVN's, LC's, CLE's &
Infant Care Specialists who have been working as doulas
for a while and want to learn the baby's perspective."
Why?
A
doula is a caregiver who mothers the mother so that the
mother can mother her infant. Doulas learn well how to
care for the mother. But do the baby's needs conflict
with the mother's needs? Are you hired by parents who
tell you what they want, yet this is their first
experience so they haven't a clue what they will really
want or need? How do you deal with bad advice the
mother often hears from others? Perhaps you are
hired as an Infant Care Specialist and see the mother so
busy during the day she is too tired to breastfeed the
baby at night?
What?
Small class size will bring many chances to network with
each other as Kittie Frantz, RN, CPNP-PC shares her
experience of over 40 years in the field of pediatrics and
breastfeeding. The course is split into six 3 hour
modules, two modules per day over a three week period
or two modules per day in a 3 day period. No other
course really looks at breastfeeding from the
baby's perspective.
The Module titles are as follows:
How?
Each module is $65.00 with 6 modules to complete the
course, totaling $390.00. This course has been approved for 18.1 "L" CERPS by IBCLE which makes it also eligible for DONA
Recertification.
Kittie Frantz is a provider approved by
The California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider
#CEP14457 for 18 Contact Hours. A great lunch and
break munchies will be provided in addition to a

Where?
Pasadena is the usual venue, but if your group is out of
the Los Angeles area, Kittie Frantz and this class can
come to you. A serene setting to relax and
learn and network. Students love the intimate setting as
they have plenty of time to ask Kittie questions and get
feedback from their peers. There is plenty of street
parking and no need to bring anything as it is all
